Former Olympic Diver Johan Jimmy Sjödin and his long time boy friend Patrick Huber are the new instagram happy couples who make others envy. They’ve been dating for the past 17 months, and have both documented their relationship via Instagram.

When if you want a perfect vacation, you’ll just have to be super-organized prior to it, so there’s nothing to ruin it once you’re there.
Jimmy Sjödin, had no idea that a huge proposal will soon be happening when he packed his bags on a short notice holiday trip to Venice. But Patrick had a perfect plan.

He thought that they would just be hopping on a gondola in Venice, until Huber kneel and popped out the question with a ring. Jimmy, in tears, he didn’t know what to say but yes!

The proposal was a month-long process that he kept to himself, Huber felt guilty for keeping this as a secret.

It was a complete surprise. On the Wednesday night I told my boyfriend to pack his bags because the next day I wanted to take him on a surprise trip somewhere he always wanted to go. So he packed his bag and we got in the car, and I started driving and we drove over the South Tyrol, which is the most scenic route through the Italian Alps, so I had planned everything to be the most romantic 😍😜 We ended up in Venice. Then on the Friday, I said “We have an appointment at 10.30, so be ready and wear something…”, and my he still didn’t understand something was going on. So we get to the gondolas and there was a girl, and he thought she was just a tour guide. But she was a professional photographer and took pictures all the time.. to capture that special moment. Then at a intimate little canal I get down on one knee in the gondola and pop the question. I started crying while I asked him the question, and can’t even remember what in specific I said. But he said YES 😍🎩💍🎩 now he is my fiancé and we started planning our wedding 😍"
It's cuter from his perspective though! You'll love it

"This happened. on a gondola ride he got down on one knee and expressed his heart & dreams and said I was both. needless to say how happy I am."
I stopped diving when I was 20. I discovered I was gay and I wanted to finally have a social life,’ Sjödin, 39, told GSN. Growing up, I had no social life because I was training all the time. I moved to the US when I was 17 to go to college on a scholarship, so when I came out and I was living in LA, I said, “Right, I’m going to focus on the next stage in my life.” ‘Since that time, I’ve done everything: bar tending and waiting, then fashion stylist work, then graphic design for the last ten years.
They met on facebook 4 years ago and the couple who got close through chatting soon realised they had something more deeper than friendship.
The two is planning to get married in the German Alps, on May of 2018 which would be their second year celebrating as a couple.
